In addition, David is an adjunct lecturer in company law at Middlesex University (Dubai), a compliance practitioner with the International Compliance Association, and author of various technical know-how and practice notes of a number of prominent legal publications.
David has more than 15 years of experience advising clients on complex, high-value and cross-border M&A transactions, general commercial contracts, corporate structuring/restructuring, and corporate governance and compliance related issues. He regularly advises on private equity and venture capital investments, share and/or asset acquisitions/disposals, joint venture arrangements, legal due diligence, and commercial contracts throughout the Middle East, with a particular focus on advising clients from APAC.

Recognised by Legal 500 as a key lawyer for commercial, corporate and M&A work in the UAE, David brings a clear understanding of the synergies between commercial acumen, risk mitigation and practical solutions as demanded by in-house general counsel and legal teams having been seconded to a national oil company, a renewable energy private equity fund and an ultra-high net worth Hong Kong family office.
