Renée Brosseau is a member of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution group of Dentons’ Toronto office. Her practice focuses on risk advisory. Renée assists clients solve complex business issues and guides them through growth.
Renée achieves results for her clients by obtaining the best outcome to a dispute rather than simply being litigious. When litigation is unavoidable, she aggressively defends her clients’ interests through court proceedings using project management models that reward efficiencies. Renée provides her clients with creative, flexible, and predictable approaches to the delivery and pricing of legal services. She works closely with her clients to develop pricing models that deliver focused services that are both effective and efficient.
Renée advises on all aspects of restructuring, insolvency and bankruptcy including commercial reorganizations, distressed acquisitions, fraudulent transactions, forbearance arrangements, security enforcement, leasing and real estate and insurance. She leads complex restructurings and fraud investigations in a variety of industries including software, digital and print media, real estate, insurance, automotive, online gaming, real estate, retail, manufacturing and entertainment. As part of her risk advisory practice, Renée also advises global and local clients, from retailers, brands and manufacturers, in developing and implementing direct to consumer strategies.
Renée publishes articles on aspects of insolvency, project management, fraud, insurance and direct to consumer. She is also a member of, among others, the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation and the Turnaround Management Association.
