Career

Claude Morency is Managing Partner of Dentons Canada LLP’s Montreal office (since 2007) and a member of its Litigation and Dispute Resolution group. His practice focuses on corporate, commercial and construction litigation.

Claude represents owners, developers, general and specialized contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and equipment manufacturers, as well as financial institutions and other lenders in negotiations and mediations, and before arbitration and judicial tribunals. He regularly advises on extraordinary remedies including seizures before judgment and injunctions, rights and recourses under corporate law, claims in construction law, procurement and tendering disputes, preparation, drafting, and review of contracts and tender documents (including turnkey contracts, design-build contracts, and engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) contracts), contractual and extra-contractual liability, corporate litigation and shareholders’ disputes, directors’ liability, product liability, hypothecary claims, construction bonds, and insurance law. Claude also advises clients engaged in public-private partnership projects.

A member of the National Management Committee, Claude plays an active role in the national management of the firm.
