Career

Erin's primary practice focus is in the areas of wills, estates and incapacity. She has extensive experience handling estate and guardianship and trusteeship litigation, including contested wills, capacity and dependency issues and actions relating to estate accounting. Erin provides practical advice considering the risks and benefits to her client at all stages of the litigation. Additionally, Erin drafts estate planning documents and handles probate and estate administration matters. Erin's regulatory work includes acting as independent counsel to professional tribunals, appearing for both professional bodies and impacted members in regulatory matters and providing opinions on matters affecting regulated professions in Alberta. She has appeared before the Court of Queen’s bench in trial and interlocutory matters and before professional and administrative tribunals on disciplinary and appeal matters. Erin also has experience in the dispute resolution process, including private mediations and judicial dispute resolution
