Alexis Barr-Gusa (She/Her/Hers) is a partner in Dentons' Construction, Infrastructure and Public Private Partnerships (PPP) groups, as well as the Corporate and Banking and Finance groups in Edmonton. Spending her time between Dentons’ Edmonton and Vancouver offices, her practice encompasses all aspects of construction law throughout the project lifecycle, from procurement of complex contracts right through to completion.

Alexis provides legal advice on a broad range of commercial matters, with an emphasis on construction and infrastructure. She represents owners, developers and contractors in connection with domestic and international mining, power, transmission and pipeline projects. She assists clients in the negotiation of project agreements, including multi-phased engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts, equipment supply contracts, construction management agreements, engineering and architecture contracts, preparation, review and clarification of requests for proposals, operation and maintenance agreements, long-term service agreements, design-build agreements, and agreements for engineering and architecture services.

Prior to joining Dentons, Alexis spent time as in-house counsel for an Edmonton-based North American construction company and practiced law at another International law firm.
