Position

Joanna Kornaszewska is a senior associate in Dentons' Warsaw office and a member of the Criminal Litigation and Internal Investigation team. She specialises in the area of white collar crime, representing clients as both defence counsel and an auxiliary (private) prosecutor in cases involving fraud, asset stripping, bribery, public procurement irregularities, fiscal crimes and many others. She has unique experience in coordinating multi-faceted disputes, representing companies in parallel civil and criminal proceedings.

Joanna coordinates internal investigations, both routine compliance audits and crisis responses to specific allegations, including project structuring, electronic evidence reviews, personnel interviews and post-review recommendations. As part of her internal investigations practice, she has assisted in a number of multinational proceedings under the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, as well as domestic compliance investigations, in particular in the life sciences, automotive and real estate sectors.

She also advises on EU and local sanctions compliance management and has experience in export controls in the military and dual-use industries.
