Jacob Hyungchan Cho is a Singapore-qualified attorney who advises clients on a broad range of regulatory, transactional, and dispute resolution matters, which include insurance and reinsurance, financial services, cross-border investments and loans, private equity, M&A, and other general corporate and commercial matters. In particular, he has acted for many financial institutions such as commercial and investment banks, funds, insurers, reinsurers and insurance brokers, as well as multinational corporations and private clients . He has also worked on a wide range of international commercial arbitrations and litigations, as well as investigations from financial and data privacy regulators.

At Dentons Lee, Jacob is a core member of the Insurance & Reinsurance Practice and the International Dispute Resolution Practice Groups along with the Corporate and Finance Teams working with local and foreign clients in the financial services sector including commercial banks, securities firms, asset management companies, and private equity and investment firms.

Prior to joining Dentons Lee, Jacob worked at leading law firms in both Singapore and Seoul, and is particularly well-placed to advise on cross-border transactions or disputes involving Korean and Singaporean parties. Having lived in both Korea and Singapore, he is also actively involved in fostering stronger commercial ties between the two jurisdictions, and serves on the executive committee of the Singapore Chamber of Commerce in Korea.
