Diego Carrera is Senior Associate in Dentons’ Tax practice in Spain. He concentrates on:

tax advice to insurance companies on: (i) W&I policies to provide coverage on R&Ws of SPAs and (ii) tax indemnities on contingent tax risks; advice on restructuring/M&A transactions; being part of Due Diligence and negotiation procedures (SPAs, R&Ws and indemnities); provide tax advice on special tax regime to foreign investors (e.g., SOCIMI/REIT regime, ETVE regime, Spanish inbound expatriate regime, EDAV regime, etc.); advice on financial transaction, such as acquisition of NPLs portfolios, confirming and factoring transactions; and he also provides periodic advice on tax procedures and audits.

He has advised clients such as Deutsche Bank, Oaktree Capital Management, Barings Real Estate, Ambridge Europe Limited, AIG, Lighthouse, Tokio Marine HCC, Avenue Capital and UBS Real Estate and other international investors.
