Partner

Hazel Saffery is a partner in our Energy group. Based in Calgary, Hazel advises clients on energy acquisitions and divestures, negotiates and drafts corporate transactions, and purchase and sale agreements for oil and gas assets and power (including renewables) assets. She has a wide breadth of experience and advises on matters ranging from joint venture, partnership and operational agreements, to technical and land use agreements. In her regulatory practice, Hazel advises commercial clients on transactional and operational implications of the regulatory processes, as well as advising concerned stakeholders and landowners.

In 2014, Hazel was seconded to a midsized public company, where she gained practical experience that challenged her to focus clients’ business goals and finding solutions to help her clients succeed. This valuable perspective is something that Hazel brings to all her files.
