China private wealth and Singapore family office specialist Linda Bai joins Dentons Rodyk as the firm’s first partner hire of 2024

Global law firm Dentons Rodyk has announced its first partner hire of the year with the appointment of China private wealth and Singapore family office specialist Linda Bai as a Partner in the firm’s Private Wealth, Family Office and Tax practices, with a focus on China clients.

A China-law qualified lawyer, Linda sits with the firm's Regional Practice as a Foreign Lawyer. She is also familiar with Singapore’s corporate law, having obtained her Masters in Law (LLM) degree in 2014 from the National University of Singapore. She was most recently Head of the China client practice at Taxise Asia LLC and brings with her a decade of expertise in serving the needs of Chinese clients relating to Singapore. She advises Chinese high-net-worth individuals and families on wealth management, estate management and tax. She also advises Chinese corporate entities on investing outside China using Singapore as a base, including appropriate corporate structures for tax efficiency.

Linda is currently pursuing qualifications to be dual-qualified in both Singapore and China law.

Dentons Rodyk’s COO and Co-Head of the firm’s Regional practice, Loh Kia Meng, says: “Linda’s much anticipated appointment gives an added dimension to our firm’s already proficient Chinese law capabilities and further strengthens our ability to provide integrated solutions to clients from China investing into Singapore and beyond.”

“The opportunity to work with top legal minds from all across the globe in the world’s largest law firm is one that I am most excited about,” commented Linda.

Linda’s arrival follows the return of dispute resolution lawyer Alexander Lee, who re-joined the firm in December last year. This announcement continues the firm’s strategy to further its growing success with an increasing and effective pool of talent. Dentons Rodyk was named last year as one of Singapore’s best law firms for the fourth year running in a survey by the nation’s flagship daily, The Straits Times, and global statistics portal Statista.
