Chris advises funders and borrowers on security related transactions in the social and affordable housing sector such as syndicated and bilateral loan financings, private placements, bond issues, group restructurings and large-scale voluntary transfers. Chris is also recognised for his work in the PV/renewables industry, in which he has helped the Council of Mortgage Lenders formulate its guidance.

Prior to joining Devonshires in February 2017, Chris was a Legal Director at Addleshaw Goddard where he spent 16 years advising on all aspects of housing finance security work. He was their principal property practitioner on their complex or structured loan financings and led their housing finance security charging unit.

Chris spends his time outside the office running after and being a taxi service to his 6 year old twins and 4 year old son and providing well-earned respite for his wife, Claire!
