Position

Mark is Senior Partner at Devonshires and head of the construction and property services department at Devonshires. Mark specialises in dispute resolution and acts for registered providers of social housing, local authorities, private contractors, TMOs and construction professionals throughout the United Kingdom. In addition to advising on the full range of construction issues Mark also advises clients on all aspects of maintenance and repair and public procurement. Mark represents clients at adjudication, arbitration, mediation and litigation in both the Technology and Construction Courts and in High Courts. Mark has also represented clients who are being investigated or have been prosecuted under health and safety legislation and advises on all aspects of health and safety law in both the construction and care sectors. Mark has also acted for clients against their professional advisors including architects and employer’s agents in professional negligence. Mark’s practice area requires a detailed knowledge of all aspects of dispute resolution and he is responsible for drafting the full range of documentation required in the various dispute resolution forums. In addition to the purely contentious work, Mark also runs regular seminars and clinics for clients updating them on developments in dispute resolution within the construction industry along with other areas such as health and safety, the CDM Regulations and the Party Wall Act 1996.
