Position

Nick is a Consultant in the housing management department. Nick has over 25 years’ experience of advising registered providers and local authorities in relation to housing litigation in the County Court, High Court and the Appeal Courts. He also advises social landlords on a wide spectrum of housing-related issues including data protection, freedom of information, equality and diversity, and human rights as well as advising clients on policies and procedures and the impact of government housing policy, regulation and new legislation. Nick has been recognised as a leading lawyer in the social housing field by The Legal 500 directory, which describes him as having a having 'a wealth of experience'. He has been involved in a number of high profile cases, including London & Quadrant v Weaver (2009); Riverside v White (2007); LB Lambeth v Kay (2006); Bruton v London & Quadrant Housing Trust (2000) and Newlon v Alsulaimen (1998).

Nick is a former board memeber of Colchester Borough Homes and one of the founding memebrs and chair of the Social Housing Law Association. He is also a board member of Journal Housing Law.
