Dr. Olaf Fasshauer advises domestic and international clients across numerous sectors on data protection legislation, including GDPR. He is a member of Dechert's data privacy and cybersecurity practice and is serving as the firm’s data protection officer. Dr. Fasshauer handles international compliance projects and cross-border data flow issues. He conducts privacy impact assessments and breach notifications for German and multinational industries, financial services companies, family offices, and investors. In addition to his practice, Dr. Fasshauer is also a highly sought lecturer and writer on data protection and related areas.

Dr. Fasshauer has worked on complex high-value cross-border deals for over 15 years within the European and US real estate markets. Using his comprehensive insight, he gives cost-effective local support to clients, many of whom are key players in the real estate industry. He advises on portfolio transactions, real estate acquisition, sale and lease transactions, as well as property development.

Furthermore, Dr. Fasshauer is adept in employment-law aspects, overall covering contentious and non-contentious matters.
