Per Buttenschøn specialises in insolvency law and has comprehensive knowledge and experience within all aspects of insolvency law.

Per has a right of audience before the Danish Supreme Court and is a member of Højesteretsskranken (a Danish association of experienced supreme-court litigators). He is a certified arbitrator and insolvency lawyer, and has also been appointed to the panel of insolvency attorneys set up by the Danish Debt Collection Agency within the Aarhus judicial district and the judicial district of the Copenhagen Maritime and Commercial High Court. Furthermore, Per is an assistant administrator at the Bankruptcy Court in Aarhus.

Per ranks among the most recognised trustees in Denmark and is appointed trustee of 120-150 bankruptcy estates a year. In particular, he is the trustee of small and medium-sized enterprises in bankruptcy.

Per specialises in non-performing loans and handles all aspects within this area, including restructuring proceedings, bankruptcy proceedings, forced sales, realisation of charges, enforcement of guarantee claims, etc. He also provides trusted advice to banks, major trade creditors, wholesalers, trade unions and a number of other organisations.

His advice extends to the legal issues affecting insolvent enterprises, such as voluntary composition agreements and the legal position in the event of bankruptcy, including avoidance.
