Career

John Phillips is a first chair trial lawyer with more than 25 years of experience handling high-stakes litigation in courts and arbitration tribunals around the country. He also works closely with leadership teams to fashion strategic solutions to issues that often arise before litigation is filed.

John has served as lead counsel for a diverse group of local and multi-national clients on numerous state- and nation-wide class actions, product liability matters, environmental disputes, mass torts, and complex business litigation. He has substantial experience defending clients accused of fraud, misrepresentation, unfair competition, and breach of contract, and has led large teams defending cases while acting as coordinating counsel for a national docket. His matters often require close coordination with colleagues handling various enforcement proceedings initiated by government agencies. John's clients include consumer product manufacturers, food suppliers, energy and power generation companies, global insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, and leading technology companies.
