Career

Henrietta specialises in the life sciences, with particular expertise in biotherapeutics including biologics, antibody therapeutics, and stem cell therapies, and also in plant sciences. Henrietta carries out a range of patent work including original drafting, prosecution at the EPO and UKIPO and overseas, opinions and freedom to operate analyses. As well as this, Henrietta has represented her clients before the Examining Division, Opposition Division and Boards of Appeal at the EPO.

Henrietta has extensive experience working with SMEs and start-ups and is able to provide strategic guidance to optimize their patent portfolios.

Henrietta joined Elkington + Fife in 2016, after working elsewhere in private practice for over 10 years. Before becoming a Patent Attorney, Henrietta studied Natural Sciences at Cambridge University, where she focused on molecular biology and plant science. Following her first degree, Henrietta completed a PhD at the prestigious Sainsbury Laboratory, investigating the mechanism of gene-for-gene disease resistance in plants.
