Education

Daniel completed a doctorate at the University of Oxford relating to the analysis of atomic-scale redistribution during the corrosion of nuclear materials. This work was supported by scholarships from a governmental research council, St Catherine's College and a consortium of industrial partners including Rolls Royce, EDF Energy, Westinghouse, Nexia Solutions and DSTL. Whilst at Oxford he presented his research at a number of international conferences and authored several journal articles. He also holds a first-class degree in physics from the University of York. During his first degree, he spent a summer placement as a software developer at Symbian Software Ltd. BSc (Hons), DPhil, UK and European Patent Attorney .
