Position
Jack specialises in property law and commercial law. He represents clients in the County Court, High Court and First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber), and enjoys a busy paperwork practice in both areas.
He is also increasingly instructed by councils in disputes over liability orders, and he has developed a niche in responding to ‘freeman of the land’ style arguments.
Property
Jack advises and represents clients on a wide range of property matters. He is particularly sought after for residential landlord and tenant disputes, easement and boundary claims and disputes concerning land registration. Further details may be found in the ‘Property and Estates’ tab below.
Commercial
Jack accepts instructions both in B2B and B2C / consumer disputes. He is particularly well-versed in the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and recent Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024. Further details may be found in the ‘Commercial’ tab below.
Mediation

Recent examples of Jack’s commercial work include:
- A v L (County Court) [Ongoing] – Advising and representing the executor of an estate in a multi-day commercial loan dispute.
- R&K v CGI (County Court) [2025] – Drafting particulars of claim in a park homes dispute concerning breach of contract, misrepresentation and the tort of causing loss by unlawful means.
- L v M (High Court) [2023] – Successfully representing the defendant product-manufacturer in a one-day mediation between two household brands.
- D v K (High Court) [2022] – Drafting particulars of claim on behalf of an American cable-television channel in an international contract dispute, worth USD $2.3m.

- E v UHL (First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber)) [2025] – Representing the applicant in a land registration dispute concerning removal of a unilateral notice and rectification of the register for fraud.
- C v 13MB (First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber)) [2024] – Representing the respondent management company in a service-charge reasonableness dispute.
- M&M v M&M (County Court) [2024] – Representing the claimants in a neighbour and family dispute concerning interference with water rights.
- F v H (First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) [2023] – Representing the respondent in a 4-day trial where it was alleged a disposition had been effected by means of a forged Power of Attorney.
- L v L (County Court) [2023] – Advising, preparing pleadings, and assisting in the settlement of a 4-day boundary dispute where the Claimants’ costs were in excess of £125,000.00.
