Position

Practice covers all issues of Family Law, with a particular emphasis on matrimonial finance, Schedule 1 cases and TLATA actions, often involving substantial and complex assets spread over various jurisdictions. He has a particular interest in company and trust issues, matters involving disputes over chattels, issues concerning the validity and recognition of marriages and disputes with a religious element to them, particularly the Get and issues concerning Islamic marriage. Reported cases include Akhter v Khan and the Attorney General [2019] 1 FLR 575; Alireza v Radwan [2018] 2 FLR 1333, K v K (nullity: bigamous marriage) [2017] 2 FLR 1055, NR v AB [2017] 1 LR 1030, Montalto v Popat and others [2016] EWHC 810 (Ch), P v P (variation of post-nuptial settlement) [2016] 1 FLR 537 and Mann v Mann [2014] 2 FLR 928.
