Career
Kwame joined Chambers in October 2023 following successful completion of his pupillage. He is developing a strong practice in Chambers’ main areas of work, both prosecuting and defending in the Crown and Magistrates’ Courts.
His experience covers a wide range of criminal matters, confiscation proceedings and defending in extradition.
Prior to joining Foundry, Kwame worked towards criminal justice reform. He worked as a Senior Associate at a public sector consultancy providing support to the Ministry of Justice to improve their delivery of prison and probation services. He was also commissioned by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation to research ways in which the process of legal aid funding for criminal appeals can be improved. Kwame also mentors secondary school students in Croydon via his Bar School Buddy programme, which helps to provide training and support to students with an interest in pursuing a career in law.
In his spare time, Kwame follows multiple sports and has also tried his hand at filmmaking, having directed a small catalogue of short films.
