Lee Pearman specialises in child protection proceedings, providing confident representation in care, adoption, and all forms of private family law applications. He accepts instructions on behalf of local authorities, parents, grandparents, and the children’s guardians.

Sexual abuse, including rape allegations of one parent, a child and between siblings Female genital mutilation Child protection cases which have an ongoing criminal investigation of child cruelty, neglect and sexual abuse Fabricated induced illness (FII) Non-accidental injuries (NAI), including skull and bone fractures All forms of substance misuse Parents and children with significant disabilities Cases involving cross-examination of a child or vulnerable adult Human Rights International placement of childrenLee is regularly instructed on behalf of local authorities and, on occasions, has been asked to take over the representation of complex care proceedings.
He enjoys a collaborative approach to case management and is always willing to be contacted by instructing solicitors and senior management to discuss and advise on matters that arise outside of office hours and on weekends.
Lee has a long-standing interest in and experience in human rights issues. Between 2002 and 2010, he lived in Kingston, Jamaica, and worked with the Independent Jamaica Council for Human Rights. He continues to have contact with Jamaican attorneys and legal education professionals. In 2002, while in Jamaica, Lee led a successful fact-finding mission to Haiti. Lee is a member of the Colombian Caravana and was part of the International Delegation of Lawyers to Colombia in 2014 and 2018.
