Position

Jim has a broad practice across several of Chambers’ key practice areas. He is experienced in crime, regulatory crime, professional discipline and public law.

He is sought after for his pragmatic and tactical approach to cases and is an accomplished advocate. He has experience well beyond his call as a result of experience gained from time working with the Crown Prosecution Service and a number of Band 1 Solicitors firms both before and during his time at the self-employed Bar.

Jim regularly appears in the Crown, County and Administrative Court. Jim also advises regulators on process and enforcement and has dealt with complex cases before a number of regulatory and specialist tribunals.

Alongside serious crime, he accepts instructions in traffic, proceeds of crime, building regulations prosecutions and is developing a significant practice in the field of indirect tax and tax fraud.
