Career

Kellie is popular with clients owing to her conscientious and thorough approach to her cases. She prides herself in her ability to put clients at ease with her down to earth and personable nature.

Kellie is a specialist family practitioner with a particular emphasis in Children Act cases.

In public law proceedings, Kellie regularly acts for parents, local authorities and guardians. She has experience dealing with cases involving issues of neglect, substance misuse, domestic violence and mental health. Kellie has also dealt with more complex cases involving allegations of non-accidental injury and sexual abuse.

In private law proceedings, Kellie has extensive experience dealing with Section 8 Children Act 1989 applications. She has been instructed to deal with complex cases involving multiple parties, allegations of sexual abuse and domestic violence. She also has experience of intractable contact disputes and sensitive cases.

Kellie also represents parties to applications for protection under the Family Law Act 1996 and the Protection of Harassment Act 1997.

Prior to coming to the Bar, Kellie worked as a full time Paralegal in a niche private family solicitors firm in the West End of London. She therefore has a full understanding and appreciation of both branches of the profession.

Kellie is a freelance lecturer for BPP law school and has also delivered lectures to social workers on all aspects of the Children Act 1989.
