Career

Laurence became a member of Chambers in July 2022 following the successful completion of pupillage.

Before transferring to the Bar, Laurence was a seasoned commercial dealmaker, heading up procurement teams for several companies. He has also chaired a charity, leading front-line volunteers and working directly with homeless and vulnerable people.

His breadth of life experience informs his work. Consequently, Laurence is known for his expert negotiating skills, his calm manner, a sensitive and compassionate approach to clients, and his incisive and compelling advocacy on their behalf.

He has represented clients in cases involving:

Laurence accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers’ work, including financial remedies, public and private children proceedings, Schedule 1 Children Act 1989 applications, and Family Law Act 1996 applications.

Laurence works with the charity Bridging the Bar to mentor people from non-traditional backgrounds who are interested in a career at the Bar.
