Position

Daniel is a Associate Planner in the Planning and Environment group and is based in Gatwick.

Career

Daniel deals with all main types of planning applications, appeals and Local Plan representations on behalf of private and commercial clients. His experience includes the preparation of a number of planning applications and appeals for both minor and major application proposals including, residential, commercial and leisure developments, as well as submission of representations on behalf of a number of residential and commercial clients in order to support land for future development potential.

Work highlights Daniel has recently been involved in the coordination and submission of successful applications, on behalf of Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club, for expansion of the American Express Community Stadium to accommodate 30,750 (from 22,500) spectators and the erection of a 14 pitch training ground in Lancing (now known as the American Express Elite Player Performance Centre). Daniel advises Newhaven Port and Properties on a variety of matters, including making submissions on their behalf in respect of the emerging Lewes Core Strategy. His work on behalf of the Port has also involved, assisting with the preparation of a Port Masterplan, providing advice in respect of Permitted Development Rights and assisting with the planning application for the proposed development of a new berth and establishment of a Land Development Area. Daniel has also led on a number of residential planning applications, helping to secure outline consent for 125 dwellings to the northern boundary of Brighton & Hove on behalf of Crest Nicholson Strategic Projects. He also recently helped secure permission for redevelopment of a site to provide 32 dwellings within the residential area of Brighton & Hove on behalf of Southern Housing Group.
