Advises on all areas of Commercial Law and business matters across a broad range of industry sectors including IT, Technology, Travel, Retail, and Creative Businesses.

Jay is a Senior Associate in our Commercial team and qualified in September 2017. His main areas of specialism are business contracts, data protection compliance, IT and intellectual property strategy and protection. Jay works with large brands and entrepreneurial businesses from a broad range of sectors including Retail, IT and Technology, Manufacturing, Travel and Creative Businesses.

He advises on business contract matters (both B2B and B2C), privacy and data protection (including advising on the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018), intellectual property rights protection and commercialisation, IT contracts (software licences, support and maintenance, SaaS/Cloud, managed services and IT infrastructure contracts) and online trading/website regulation.

Work highlights:

Working with a global luxury retailer on its business contracts with its worldwide distribution network, including advising on supply manufacturing and data protection issues.

Advising a global IT company on the protection of its complex software engines for the creation of multiple processing activities and algorithm application in various sectors, including metaverse infrastructure and gaming.

Working with a large behavioural science's company on its business contracts, including negotiation with its global client base and advising on data protection issues.
