Bryan is a Partner in the Guildford Private Client department.

Career

Bryan's practice focuses on estate administration, wills, trust administration, residential conveyancing sales, powers of attorney and Court of Protection work.

With some 35 years’ experience, Bryan ensures that his clients are given the benefit of his knowledge as well as the best advice. Bryan has many clients that return time and again. Bryan’s particular expertise is in the administration of both simple and complex estates, high value and intestate estates, and, where possible, ensuring inheritance tax savings.

He advises on and drafts wills (mirror wills, life interest wills and discretionary trust wills), inheritance tax planning, powers of attorney, deputyship applications and other Court of Protection applications.

Bryan qualified as a Solicitor in 1985.

Bryan works primarily in our Guildford office, but also collaborates closely with colleagues in our other locations.

Work highlights Creating a £100k saving on Inheritance Tax on an estate valued at £1million+ by submitting a Deed of Variation to HMRC Preparing deeds to provide children of the deceased with the benefit of two annual CGT allowances upon sale of a property following the death of a parent.
