Alex Polley practises in the field of commercial litigation and arbitration, including banking, civil fraud, professional negligence and general commercial disputes. Recent cases include: Contra v Bamford [2023] EWCA Civ 374 (reverse summary judgment on contract claim); Caledonian Maritime v HCCI [2022] EWHC 164 (Ch) (reverse summary judgment on rectification claim); LA Micro v LA Micro [2022] 1 WLR 336 (equitable remedies and estoppel); PCP v Barclays [2021] EWHC 307 (Comm) (alleged deceit by bank in relation to capital raising); Flowgroup v Co-Op [2021] Bus LR 755 (challenge to expert determination); Pipia v BGEO [2021] EWHC 86 (Comm) and [2022] EWHC 846 (Comm) (alleged expropriation of a fertiliser factory); and A v B [2020] 1 WLR 3989 and [2020] EWHC 1492 (Ch) (privilege issues in relation to FRC investigation).
