Career

Qualified in 1965; Lincoln’s Inn; practiced Law in Cyprus, (Famagusta, 1967-1974 and Limassol 1974-2005); Piraeus, Athens and London since 1974; first EU lawyer to become an advocate of the Supreme Court of Greece (Areios Pagos); practicing arbitration and ADR; on the panel of arbitrators of several arbitration bodies including the ICC, the Cairo Centre for International Commercial Arbitration and the London Court of International Arbitration; director in extensive number of offshore shipping and investment companies; author of chapter on Greece, 'International Execution Against Judgment Debtors’ (Sweet and Maxwell); 'Dispute Resolution Methods' (chapter on Greece); 'Comparative Law Yearbook for International Business' (special issue 1994 ed); 'Registration of Vessels and Mortgages', and 'Judicial Sales of Vessels and Priority of Claims' IBA Maritime Law Handbook (2002 ed.). Served as presiding arbitrator in a large number of major and high profile public-private partnership disputes covering all major National Rodas being constructed in Greece with EU assistance.
