Catriona specialises in police and public law, inquests and inquiries, human rights and information law.

She is currently instructed as junior Counsel to the Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry and is acting on behalf of the Cabinet Office in the UK Covid-19 Public Inquiry. Notable examples of her recent work include acting on behalf of the Independent Office for Police Conduct in a claim for damages in misfeasance and for breaches of the Human Rights Act 1998 and on behalf of the Metropolitan Police Service in a claim for damages in misfeasance, malicious prosecution and false imprisonment arising from the conduct of a police investigation and prosecution relating to the murder of Daniel Morgan. She has recently acted on behalf of government departments and police forces in claims for damages for breaches of data protection legislation, breach of confidence and misuse of private information.

Catriona was appointed to the Attorney General’s C Panel of Counsel in 2019.
