Position

Rachel qualified as a solicitor in 2015. Having joined Exchange Chambers in 2016, Rachel has developed a busy criminal practice, who regularly appears in both the magistrates’ and crown court.

She receives instructions in a broad range of criminal cases including:

Drugs Sexual offences including assaults and images Theft and burglary Robbery and all levels of serious assault Fraud offences Confiscation and enforcement proceedings Motoring offences

Rachel has a great deal of experience in road traffic matters, successfully advancing arguments involving exceptional hardship and special reasons.

She also represents a large number of Defendants who have complex mental health difficulties. Rachel adopts a sensitive approach in these cases and has extensive experience defending where a Defendant has been found to be unfit to plead. She also has experience assisting the Court with considering Hospital Orders with Restrictions under s.41 Mental Health Act 1983.

Rachel has excellent advocacy skills and prides herself on her ability to forge excellent client relationships and offer a fast turnaround of work.
