Career

Alex Taylor has led Fountain Court’s clerking team since 2008.

Alongside the overall supervision of the clerking team, he has day-to-day responsibility for the clerking of Fountain Court’s most senior silks, with the assistance of Luke Diebelius and Matthew Evans. He is centrally involved in the management of Chambers as well as building and maintaining relationships with our clients, both domestically and internationally.

At the 2021 Chambers Bar Awards, Alex was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award, in recognition of his outstanding career. He was also named ‘Senior Clerk of the Year’ at The Legal 500’s 2018 awards, after being shortlisted for four years.

Excellent client attention and a highly efficient and bespoke clerking service are Alex’s hallmarks and have been throughout his five-decade career. Under Alex’s leadership Fountain Court has received a number of awards including:
