Public Law

Rhia is a member of the public law group and has a broad practice which spans prison law, police law, inquests, and Court of Protection.

Rhia spent the early years of her career practising at the Criminal Bar, and she brings to her public law practice a solid understanding of the criminal justice system. She also brings with her a wealth of experience in representing vulnerable clients. Rhia has also practised in general civil law and as a result of having had a multi-disciplinary background, she has significant experience in both written and oral advocacy.

Rhia is keen to develop her practice within the areas of police and prison law. Her experience practising in criminal law means that she understands sentencing procedure and principles, and she is also very familiar with police systems and terminology.

Rhia is building her practice in this area through a part-time secondment with Barts Health NHS Trust, where her work will have a focus on inquests involving the trust.

Rhia was called to the Bar by the Inner Temple in 2019.
