Career

Gurprit specialises in commercial litigation. She adeptly advises and represents clients in the Commercial Court, Chancery Division, and during mediations. Her practice encompasses a broad spectrum of commercial disputes, with particular expertise in fraud, commercial debt recovery, shareholder disputes, quincecare claims, insolvency, and consumer credit claims.

Gurprit has international experience, having worked in the British Virgin Islands for an international law firm. She continues to be instructed in BVI disputes, demonstrating her global reach and expertise.

Gurprit has provided invaluable advice to HSBC Bank Plc, Global Markets for several years. She played a key role in their Early Neutral Evaluation process of derivative mis-selling claims, particularly in assessing consequential loss claims.

Gurprit’s extensive experience in financial services is bolstered by her secondment to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). During her tenure, she contributed to significant cases involving collective investment schemes, LIBOR manipulation, unfair contract terms in consumer contracts, corporate fraud, and collective investment schemes without authorisation.

Gurprit has also been appointed as an arbitrator to the Sikh Court in London, showcasing her versatility and commitment to serving the community.  She can be instructed internationally to sit as an Arbitrator or Mediator.
