Property litigation

Position

Having established a busy practice at another leading set, Will was recruited to Tanfield in 2017.  Will is a property specialist and practises in Chambers’ core areas, with a particular emphasis on service charges and traditional landlord and tenant litigation, both in the residential and commercial context.  He is perceived as a trusted practitioner and has been instructed in a number of complex and high-value matters.  He has appeared against silk on several occasions.

Given the nature of his practice at his former set, Will possesses trial experience significantly beyond that of most juniors at the Property Bar and is already the veteran of several hundred trials as well as many other appearances in the High Court, County Court and First-Tier Tribunal.  He is therefore favoured by clients for his relaxed yet robust courtroom manner.  He combines this trial experience with a deep academic interest in his chosen fields of practice.

Will is a contributor to Service Charges & Management (Sweet & Maxwell, 4th Ed) produces articles for the Landlord & Tenant Review.

Will is licensed to accept direct access instructions.
