Career

Rónán joined Chamber in 2018 having been called to the bar in 2011 and previously practiced in the Thames Valley.

His recent cases have included defending as a led junior in an eleven-defendant grooming / child sexual exploitation case at Oxford Crown Court and also defending in an attempted machete attack against prison staff at HMP Bullingdon as junior alone.

His practice is focused on general crime including offences of violence, dishonesty and drug cases at all levels. Rónán is a fully accredited police station representative and has an enviable record of success at the Court of Appeal.

He is known for his calm manner and client care skills, in addition to his strength in mitigation and efforts to secure the best possible result. As led junior his experience include offences of murder, conspiracy to rape and grooming offences.
