Position

Perrin has a busy and established practice specializing in personal injury and professional negligence claims. This work spills over into the arena of inquests and CICA applications. She also undertakes a fair amount of solicitors' negligence claims and costs work. Perrin's practice encompasses all areas of personal injury work from modest road traffic accidents through to high value brain injury claims. She also has an ever expanding clinical negligence practice which currently includes cerebral palsy cases. Having undertaken her pupillage at Deka Chambers , Perrin has a wealth of common law advocacy experience and a real expertise in maximizing quantum and schedules of loss. She is a contributing editor to Deka Chambers publication "Clinical Negligence Claims" and is a contributor to "Kemp & Kemp: Personal Injury Law, Practice and Procedure". She also appears in the Legal 500. Perrin lectures in house and upon request at solicitors' offices.

Called 1998. Recent Cases: W v King's College Hospital [ongoing] - negligent advice in respect of an MMR vaccine against a background of a neurological condition requiring immunosuppressant drug. R v Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust [ongoing] - failure to diagnose leg ischaemia resulting in unsuccessful bypass surgery and permanent symptoms of intermittent claudication and neuropathic pain. D v S [ongoing] - negligent ACL reconstruction. G v NHS Isle of Wight & Ors [ongoing] - negligent prescription of steroids causing a plethora of symptoms and diabetes with consequential complications. M v Lock & Centrica [2012] - protected party, head injury case settled at £300,000 (grossed up to £450,000 on 100% liability basis). C v CICAP [2012] - quantum assessment for blinded 21 year old; award made of £250,000. W v B [2011] - fatal RTA/clinical negligence claim lead by Grahame Aldous QC. Won on liability trial, settled at mediation for £900,000. T v North Lincolnshire NHS Trust [2010] - led by Grahame Aldous QC. Failure to diagnose spinal cord injury leading to severe neurological damage. Claim settled on terms with capital value c. £2 million including PPO. N v South London NHS Trust [2010] - led by Grahame Aldous QC – clinical negligence claim for above knee amputation case post knee surgery - liability admitted, settled for £390,000. S v South Coast Port Services [2008] settled employer’s liability case for £250,000.
