Laura practised in London and then at Guildford Chambers, predominantly in landlord and tenant and property-related matters such as easements and boundary disputes, before taking a break from the Bar. During this time she was a pro-bono advisor to an agricultural charity, and an assistant commissioner for the Boundary Commission for England. Since 2014 she has sat on the Independent Agricultural Appeals Panel, hearing appeals against decisions of the Rural Payments Agency and Natural England in relation to the Basic Payment Scheme and agri-environment schemes under the EU Common Agricultural Policy.
