Position

Julian has a specialist employment practice which covers all aspects of the Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeal Tribunal jurisdiction and employment and discrimination claims in the High Court. He is a highly skilled, authoritative and pragmatic employment law practitioner with a largely respondent-based practice. In addition to private sector businesses, his respondent clients include housing associations, local authorities, NHS trusts and schools. He also represents government departments such as the MOD, MOJ and DWP in employment and discrimination matters. He has the expertise (and security clearance) to act in cases that involve material and subject matter that would attract the operation of Rule 94. In addition to his employment practice, Julian has a niche specialist construction practice and has considerable experience in the litigation arising out a variety of projects, from domestic building claims to commercial construction disputes in an industrial setting. Julian is a qualified mediator and adjudicator.
