Alexa is a barrister practising in all areas of criminal and family law and she has a growing practice in family law. She also accepts instructions in extradition and immigration proceedings.

Position

Alexa is a criminal barrister who accepts instructions to prosecute and defend. She has developed a busy Crown Court practice, spanning a wide range of offences. Alexa also has an active practice in family law, with a particular focus on both private and public children proceedings, and domestic abuse proceedings.

Direct Public Access

Alexa accepts instructions under the direct access scheme, allowing members of the public to instruct Alexa directly to advise them on or represent them in suitable cases.

Criminal Defence

Alexa has experience of defending a wide range of criminal offences in the Crown, Youth and Magistrates’ Court. These range from violent and sexual offences to those related to the supply and possession of drugs and dishonesty.

Alexa has experience in dealing with young defendants. She has completed specialist Youth Justice advocacy training with the Youth Justice Legal Centre.

Criminal Prosecutions - Private & Public

Alexa is a CPS Grade 2 prosecutor and has experience of prosecuting a wide range of criminal offences in the Crown, Youth and Magistrates’ Court. She has experience in prosecuting multi-handed trials.

She is also instructed in private prosecutions, including Royal Mail Group.

Alexa also has experience working with the National Crime Agency (NCA) including the review of legally privileged material as independent counsel.

Family, Children & International Family

Alexa accepts instructions in both private and public children proceedings, appearing for both the applicant and the respondent. She has also appeared on behalf of the local authority and the guardian in public children proceedings. She has experience dealing with allegations of domestic violence and serious accusations of harm against children.

Alexa has been instructed in a variety of family matters including occupation and non-molestation orders. She has experience acting for both applicants and respondents in child arrangement orders.

She has also appeared on behalf of the police, dealing with sensitive disclosure applications in family proceedings.

Asset Recovery, Civil Fraud & Confiscation

Alexa accepts instructions in confiscation matters.

Inquests & Inquiries

Alexa accepts instructions in relation to Public Inquiries & Inquests.
