Career
Anna has extensive experience representing Local Authorities, parents, family members and children in public law proceedings. She is skilled in acting for vulnerable adults and taking instructions directly from children.
Anna’s practice includes cases involving domestic violence, substance misuse, neglect, sexual abuse (including rape and incest), physical abuse, factitious or induced illness and non-accidental injury.
Anna is sensitive to the significance and complexities of these cases, as well as the needs of her clients. She understands the importance of effective communication and ensuring that her clients have a clear understanding of the proceedings and their decisions.
Anna is regularly instructed in private law children cases. These cases usually involve disputes about with whom a child will live, contact, other specific issues (such as education, surnames and religion) or preventing a parent from taking certain steps involving the care of a child.
Anna has experience of complex (and sometimes subtle) cases involving allegations of parental alienation, the instruction of expert witnesses and fact-finding hearings.
She is often instructed in cases involving Litigants in Person and is qualified to accept instructions directly from members of the public in appropriate circumstances.
