Tim specialises in all aspects of commercial law, with particular emphasis on insurance and reinsurance, energy, marine, commercial fraud and general commercial disputes. He acts both as an advocate and in an advisory capacity, and has regularly been instructed on his own and as junior counsel in high-value, high-profile Commercial Court actions and arbitrations. He is also a CEDR-accredited mediator.

Called 1996; tenant at 7 King's Bench Walk from 1997 to date, except for a two-year period between 2005 and 2007 when he worked for the award-winning reinsurance and international risk team at Barlow Lyde & Gilbert, after which he returned to 7KBW to resume his practice as a commercial barrister; became a CEDR-accredited mediator in 2014.

Good working knowledge of French and experience of working in disputes involving French law issues.
