Henry Moore is an experienced commercial barrister. He specialises in commercial litigation and international arbitration across the following main practice areas: commercial disputes, energy, civil fraud, shipping and international trade, jurisdiction and procedure, insurance, and financial services.

Recent cases include:

  • Arsenal Football Club Plc & Ors v Allianz & Ors: acted for the defendants in a £100m business interruption claim by Premier League clubs and others (listed for trial in 2025 but now settled), led by Alistair Schaff KC and Simon Kerr
  • Infinity Treasures PTE Ltd v Global Currency Exchange Network Ltd (CA-2024-000184): acted as sole counsel in the Court of Appeal in a stakeholder dispute about the distribution of funds held by a global FX provider
  • Desai & Shah v RSA: acted as sole counsel for RSA in its successful defence of a conspiracy claim in the High Court (discontinued by the claimants following the Court of Appeal’s judgment in Desai & Shah v Wood [2025] EWCA Civ 906)
  • NWP Electrical & Mechanical Limited v Travelers: acted as sole counsel for the claimant in a high-value TCC dispute about a defective lighting control system on the Oxford Brookes campus (settled shortly before a 6-day trial listed in early 2025)
  • Hiscox Services Limited & Ors v Abraham: successfully obtained a final charging order over the assets of a former CFO who misappropriated US$1.5m+ of company funds (as sole counsel in the High Court)
  • Re Russian Aircraft Operator Policy Claims [2024] EWHC 734 (Comm); [2024] EWHC 3299 (Comm); [2024] EWHC 3300 (Comm): litigation worth in excess of US$10 billion concerning the loss of aircraft in Russia (one of The Lawyer’s Top 20 Cases of 2024)
