Appears before domestic courts and tribunals up to and including the Supreme Court; in international courts and tribunals including the European Court of Human Rights and the International Court of Justice; and in arbitrations under the LCIA, ICC and UNCITRAL rules and specialist sports arbitrations.

Career

She acts in the most high profile and complex cases across her practice areas. Examples of recent work include acting for: Guy Carpenter in its multimillion    pound conspiracy claim against Howden for unlawful poaching of staff across numerous jurisdictions; the English Football League defending a challenge brought by Cardiff in relation to a failure to pay the transfer fee of Emiliano Sala on time; a leading car manufacturer defending allegations of installation of illegal defeat device breaching emissions limits; and the Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry.

Ruth frequently advises NGOs,  states and private companies on issues of public international law.

She is a member of the Attorney General’s London B panel and specialist Public International C panel of counsel.

BA (Hons) Jurisprudence, Oxford University; LLM (Distinction), UCL. Called to the Bar in 2015. Former positions held include: Research Assistant to Professor Philippe Sands KC; Teaching Fellow at UCL; Judicial Assistant to the Master of the Rolls, Sir Terence Etherton.
