Partner and Head of Family Law

Lynne Stratford is the head of our Family Law Team and the partner in charge of our Dalkeith office.  She has over 15 years’ experience in all aspects of family law, including complex financial provision and divorce cases; cohabitation cases; pre and post nuptial and cohabitation agreements; and child matters. She is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a Specialist in Family Law.

Lynne is a trained family law mediator and collaborative lawyer. She deals primarily with our Midlothian and East Lothian client base. She is a member of the Scottish Family Law Association and is a Notary Public.

Lynne is committed to working with clients through negotiation, mediation, and the collaborative process to resolve their disputes without the need to raise contested Court proceedings. In cases where litigation is necessary however, Lynne is able to offer clients the benefit of considerable experience in conducting cases through the Sheriff Court process.
