Career

Biography

Jane was called to the Bar in 1992 having studied French and Law at Cardiff University.  She joined chambers in 1998 initially as a criminal practitioner but gradually transitioned to family law.

After taking some time off to bring up her three children, Jane now specialises exclusively in Children Law, both public and private.  She represents local authorities, parents, children and interveners in care proceedings, parents in private disputes regarding their children, as well as parties involved in inherent jurisdiction and Court of Protection matters.

Jane appears in the High Court and at all levels of the Family Court and is experienced in dealing with a wide range of clients, including those with mental health difficulties and other vulnerabilities.  Jane is meticulous in the preparation of her cases and combines being sensitive and empathetic with being a fearless advocate.
