Erika has a busy practice in all areas of family law. She has experience across public, private and international children law and in financial matters.

Financial Remedies

Erika regularly represents clients at all stages of family financial proceedings, including matrimonial finance, enforcement, applications pursuant to TOLATA 1996, and applications under Schedule 1 of the Children Act 1989. Her recent cases have also involved issues concerning pre / post-nuptial agreements and non-matrimonial property.

International

Erika appears in the High Court in child abduction matters both in Hague Convention 1980 cases and wardship proceedings.

Private Law

Erika is regularly instructed in complex private law matters across all stages of proceedings including but not limited to child contact, enforcement. She has acted in cases involving allegations of domestic abuse, parental alienation and consolidation with proceedings under the Family Law Act 1996.

Public Law

Erika also maintains an active public law practice of her own, acting for local authorities, parents and children’s guardians in proceedings involving domestic abuse, sexual abuse, substance misuse and mental health problems. She also has experience in secure accommodation orders, forced marriage and cases concerning FGM.
