Biography

Called to the Bar in 1998.

Prior to coming to the Bar, Martin worked in the music business for several years, in marketing and management roles for record companies, the Arts Council and Sir Paul McCartney.

​He practices in both Family and Criminal law, undertaking both private and public law family work on behalf of parents and local authority clients, including financial remedy cases within and outside marriage. He is also experienced in general civil work, employment and immigration. His criminal law experience is broad and he acts for both prosecution and defence.

​Martin is qualified to accept instructions direct from members of the public via the Direct Access route. He is a sensitive and patient advocate for his clients who will negotiate where possible, and contest the client’s case robustly and persuasively at all stages.
