Position

Naomh is a specialist family barrister, and her practice encompasses all aspects of family finance.

Naomh has acted in a range of Matrimonial Causes cases including those involving interveners and non-biological children.

Naomh has completed the FLBA’s Advocacy and the Vulnerable course, and has extensive experience in cases involving vulnerable witnesses, domestic abuse, and section 25 conduct issues.

Naomh has appeared in committal proceedings and can assist on drafting such applications.

Naomh has acted cases with lower asset bases and is comfortable in advising on the impact of financial proceedings on State Benefits.

In her Children practice, Naomh has experience in a wide range of private law proceedings, acting for both parents and extended family members.

  • Owing to her experience acting for the Department for Education, Naomh has a particular interest in educational and schooling disputes.Naomh has also acted for 16.4 Guardians and is available to advise on when such appointments are appropriate.

    Naomh welcomes instructions in international child abduction matters, including to and from non-Hague convention countries.

    Naomh routinely receives instructions in relation to Family Law Act proceedings, and is able to advise on how this may impact financial proceedings.

Career

Naomh was called to the Bar by Gray's Inn in 2017.

Naomh joined Chambers in 2023, following the successful completion of her pupillage at a Midlands set in 2020, and is developing a specialist finance practice, including Schedule 1 cases.

Prior to the Bar, Naomh was employed as an in-house advocate at Browne Jacobson LLP. Among other advocacy instructions, Naomh was a contracted Presenting Officer for the Department for Education in teaching misconduct proceedings, acting in cases involving maladministration of school funds and exam malpractice.

Education

Naomh read Law at Queen’s University Belfast in Northern Ireland. She received the NTU Dean’s Professional Courses Scholarship for Academic Excellence in order to undertake the Bar Professional Training Course.
